Veterinarian Operating Partner – House-Call Veterinarian

MVS Pet Care Florida is a new house-call veterinary practice in Tampa Bay.

We’re currently looking for dedicated, entrepreneurial and self-starting professionals who would like to grow their skills and join our primary care, house call, companion-pet veterinary practice in the Tampa Bay region in Florida. Experienced veterinarians with at least two years working experience in any environment are welcome!

Our House Call Veterinarians are Operating Partners. They receive a financial share in the revenue and profits of their veterinary practice. We will train you in the details of the House Call environment.

Ideal candidates are expected to:

  • Practice in accordance with state practice act and principles of veterinary medical ethics
  • Have a positive and upbeat demeanor with all patients and clients
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter motivated to perform individually in caring for pets.
  • Have a willingness to learn how to provide in-home care for patients
  • Make effective, well-informed decisions that are in the best interest of patients.
  • Collaborate with other veterinarians in the national MVS Network to share best practices in a cooperative and continuously learning environment.
  • Have two years working experience in a professional veterinary environment.

Veterinary Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

Administrative duties providing support to the Veterinarian(s) who are providing mobile veterinary services. Responsible for scheduling appointments, communicating with clients and maintaining medical supply inventory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of MVS Pet Care Florida.
  2. Adheres to the MVS Pet Care Florida HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  3. Support Doctors and Technician team in various day-to-day functions of a mobile veterinary practice.
  4. Enter client & patient information into electronic medical record system as needed.
  5. Answer incoming phone calls and electronic messages from clients. Answer questions and forward messages to Veterinarians and Vet Technicians as needed.
  6. Schedule house call appointments in a time- and geographically-efficient manner.
  7. Track lab results send and received, communicate with clients when appropriate as directed by Veterinarian.
  8. Prepare product shipments to client’s home as needed.
  9. Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Education: High School diploma required
  • Experience: 3 years of veterinary care related experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Skill in verbal and written communication. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Certification/Licensure: None

Jeremy Gransky, DVM

Dr. Gransky oversees all veterinary operations for our company.

Dr. Gransky is a skilled, caring, and experienced veterinarian who has devoted his career to companion animal healthcare. He has worked in animal hospitals since 1985 and received advanced training in medicine and surgery for dogs, cats, and exotic pets at one of the country’s largest and most esteemed animal hospitals.

Dr. Gransky founded his own mobile house call practice, At Home Veterinary, in 2005. Before specializing in house calls, he worked for eight years in several multi-doctor practices in Massachusetts and New York City. He completed an internship in small and exotic animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Gransky earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, in Grafton, Massachusetts, and his B.S. in Animal Sciences at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York.
